I'm to review the best, in my opinion, so called firewall - ZoneAlarm Pro v3.5.169

This is an update of my first PC Helper Lab release so you can see the program in the new light !!! This review is much more useful. So Enjoy :-).

So we will start directly from the program active (no preconfigured mission I mean).

I decided to start with a main function of the program - FireWall Protection. You can find something like that in Internet Explorer Options. But this is much more comfortable and powerful: here you decided what security priorities have to be set by ZoneAlarm Pro. Actually, there's no need in explaining you what it means. It's all understandable with a great hints support provided by the program. It explains all the options and recommends the suitable for you.

The second category is 'Program control'. This is where you set up access priorities for the program. When you're in the Internet you use some programs, but there can be also some other applications installed on your computer - like different Download Internet Plug-ins, trackers, even trojan-viruses that of course will try to access the Internet without your confirmation to send some critical and registration information from your computer to other person, hacker. That's where ZoneAlarm Pro helps. It shows you any process that tries to access the internet. If the program is unknown you can just block it. And your PC's protected !!! You can set different priorities for program control and Automatic Lock. Medium is recommended.

And on to the next category - 'Alerts and Logs'. This is, in my opinion, the least important category. It's not dealing with the Internet. it's like setting what program has to show you. You can choose if it shows you only high-rated alerts or will fully log all events happening. The configuration here fully depends on your choice and preferences.

The next category - 'Privacy'. This is one of the most advertised features of the program. You can load sites much faster by blocking the loading of unneeded or useless advertisements and banners. You can also block cookies to automatically erase all your "Internet traces". This is also useful as there will be a growing impossibility of being attacked by virus that sometimes can go with cookies and take the I-net Temp Files Directory and then place somewhere on your computer.

E-mail protection is also a GREAT plus of the program. One of the main ways of viruses "distribution" is through e-mail services. Guess, you all know how it happens: Someone sends you an e-mail that contains attachment. You open it (the message) and that's it...You don't need to open the attachment as sometimes it even can start working automatically. But special MailSafe tool in ZoneAlarm Pro blocks any functionality of attachments without your confirmation. It quarantines these attachment. Of course, it's not the antivirus; but it works faster than the last one. MailSafe blocks + Antivirus checks = Total E-mail Antivirus Protection (Hope, you liked the formula).

There are also many personal options of "second importance". You can set them by yourself...they are just for your preferences.

ZoneAlarm Pro is the great and the most powerful ever firewall. It's always been one of the most reliable, so what more to say. I recommend this utility. It loads your computer well, but you also get the full protection together with antivirus, and full Internet control of your computer.
